Proactive urban planner and researcher with 10+ years of experience doing urban planning and nonfiction writing. Edited and co-authored 10 monographs on contemporary issues in urban studies. Published over 15 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and other 80+ critical articles collaborated with dozens of media, events and institutions, including Archdaily, The Paper News, BODW, Suzhou Design Week (SuDW), Shanghai Urban Space Art Season (SUSAS), Shenzhen Center for Design. As a team leader at Urban China, Gehry started the “Urban China International Observer” (UCIO) program, a research network formed by more than 60 outstanding young scholars in architecture and urban planning worldwide. As a planner, he has travelled to more than 120 cities in China and abroad, leading urban research and design consultancy projects in over 100 cities.
